  • Speech is the physical process of producing sounds to form words. It involves how we articulate sounds, combine them into words, and how clearly we produce them. Sometimes, children may have difficulties with speech, which can make it challenging for others to understand them.

Language is about both understanding and using words to communicate. This includes how well your child understands instructions, stories, and conversations (receptive language), as well as how effectively they express their thoughts, needs, and desires by asking questions and formulating sentences (expressive language).
